Jagan Institute of Management Studies or JIMS Rohini is one of the leading business schools in the North of India, located in Rohini, New Delhi. It offers a wide range of business courses and executive programs for governmental and business establishments. It has been ranked 5th in Delhi by Mail Today, 9th by Competition Success Review and 10th by The Week. Founded in 1993 by the Jagannath Gupta Memorial Educational Society, it is a non-profit organization. It started with just 25 students and numbers quickly rose. In 1998 it moved from its small campus in Pitampura, New Delhi, to its current infrastructure in Sector 5, Rohini.

Research and publications

JIMS Virtual World is the online newsletter published by the Department Of Information Technology, which covers the latest happenings in the world of technology. It is circulated to all IT students and faculty members.

Management Outlook is a magazine sent to all students biweekly. Its purposed is to expand knowledge in the areas of finance, marketing, human resource management and international business.

This programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for excellence in quality education.

Summer internship program

As a compulsory part of the curriculum, PGDM students are required to undergo a summer internship with an external organization for a period of 6-8 weeks, usually from the start of May to mid-June.

The pre-placement talks are an opportunity for companies to interact with the students. Organizations make presentations which provide the students with information about career prospects.

Final placements

Companies who participate in the Pre-placement talk is followed by the scheduling of placements. The company may carry out a written test, group discussion and/or closed interview.

Corporate Checkmate

Corporate Checkmate is a quarterly lecture series in which industry leaders share their knowledge and experience with professionals and academics. It has been well received by the corporate world as well as managers-in-the-making.

Tarkash(e-Cell)

Tarkash is an organisation which aims to spread entrepreneurial knowledge to the student body.

Verve (Inter-college festival)

This event includes strategy games, workshops, informal events etc. The event tests the mental ability, logical thinking, spontaneity and knowledge about different fields of management.

Oasis (Intra-college festival)

This two day festival consists of various academic and social activities.
